Cycle Threads button image\threads.gif

The Cycle Threads button is only displayed when you are debugging an RTOS application, otherwise it is grayed out.

Click image\thrdsdwn.gif to display a drop-down list of the threads, and an option to attach the Code window to a thread. If the Code window is attached, there is a checkmark (image\tickopt.gif) beside this option, and beside the thread to which it is attached. When a Code window is attached to a thread, you see only the details for that thread.

The current thread is marked with an asterisk (*) in the list.

Click on the image\nextactt.gif button to make the next thread in the list the current thread (the sequence of movement through the thread list depends on the RTOS). In HSD mode, if the processor is stopped, you can see the registers and variables for the new current thread in the unattached Code window. In RSD mode, execution control is switched to the new current thread, and if it is captive, you can see its registers and variables.

image\lamp.gifYou cannot see details for a thread unless it is captive (RSD), or the processor has stopped (HSD). Changing the current thread is therefore only meaningful when the thread is not running.

image\lamp.gifYou can also see the Thread list if you select the Thread option from the Code window File menu.
