How do I map memory?

Memory mapping is disabled by default unless you associate a board/chip definition file with your processor that enables memory mapping. If you are working with a suitable target and you want to map memory, you must first enable memory mapping:

1.   Select Memory Map Tab from the Code window View menu, or select the Map tab of the Process Control pane.

2.   If ***Memory Map Disabled*** is displayed, right-click in the pane and select Toggle Memory Mapping.

You can define memory map settings in RealView Debugger in any of the following ways:

using the Map tab of the Process Control pane

 by amending the board file

by using a predefined board/chip definition file.
