You can use this setting to specify how to connect to the target. RealView Debugger checks the setting whenever you connect to the target, unless you use the Connect (Defining mode) option. If you select a connection mode that is not supported, RealView Debugger uses the default and issues a warning message.

Select from:

no_reset_and_stop Connects to the target without resetting it. If the target is running, it is stopped.

no_reset_and_no_stop Connects to the target without resetting it. The running state of the target is unchanged.

reset_and_stop Submits a processor reset before connecting to the target. If the target is running, it is stopped.

reset_and_no_stop Submits a processor reset before connecting to the target. The running state of the target is unchanged.

prompt Whenever you try to connect to a target, a List Selection dialog is displayed for you to select the Connect mode
