The Set/Toggle Tracepoint option enables you to set triggers, trace start points, and trace end points, and use these in conjunction with trace ranges. These options can be used as follows:
Set a trigger to indicate the area of interest in your program. The actual information to be traced depends on the trigger mode that you have set for collecting data.
Set a trace range to indicate an area for which you want to capture trace information. Information is captured only for the specified area, and not for any areas that are branched to.
Set a trace start and end point to indicate an area for which you want to capture trace information. Trace information is returned from the specified start point until the specified end point, including any areas that are branched to. If you do not set a trace end point, trace information is returned from the start point onward.
To Set a trigger, trace start or end point, or trace range using the Set/Toggle Tracepoint option:
Display your code, in the Dsm or Src tabs of the File Editor pane, or in the Memory pane.
Place the cursor on a row of interest within your program, or highlight a range of rows.
Right-click in the gray bar to the left of the source. A Context menu is displayed.
Select Set/Toggle Tracepoint from the Context menu to display a list of options in a List Selection dialog.
Select the required option from this dialog and click OK.
