Start trace capture

When you have set the analysis options and set up tracepoint(s), start trace capture as follows:

1.   Ensure that Tracing Enabled is checked (image\tickopt.gif) in the Analysis window Edit menu.

image\inform.gif Tracing is enabled by default when you are connected to a target that supports trace. However, trace data will only be returned if you have set a tracepoint, or if you have selected an Automatic Tracing Mode from the Edit menu in the Analysis window.

2.   If you need to clear the trace buffer, select Clear Trace Buffer from the Analysis window View menu.

3.   Select Automatic Update on New Buffer from the Analysis window View menu if you want to clear the Analysis window and update it automatically with new information when a new buffer load of trace data is returned.

4.   Select Debug®Run from the Code window Debug menu. The trace results are displayed in the Analysis window.
