RealView
DebuggerA macro is a C-like function that is a sequence of expressions, statements, calls to other macros, built-in macros, target functions, and debugger commands that can be invoked by entering the macro name as a single command. You can define or use a macro at any time during a debugging session.
A macro definition can contain parameters that can be changed for each macro call.
In addition to any macros that you define yourself, RealView Debugger has a set of predefined macros that you can use.
You can use macros in any of the following ways:
as a complex command, or in an expression
attached to a breakpoint to create complex breakpoint condition testing
attached to a window to display information in it.
If you want to add or edit a macro during a debugging session, use the Add/Edit Debugger Macros dialog called from the Code window Tools menu.
When a macro is loaded into RealView Debugger,
the definition is stored in the symbol table. If the symbol table is recreated,
for example, when an image is loaded with symbols, any macros are automatically
deleted.
For detailed information about
defining macros, see the RealView Debugger
v1.8 User Guide.
