RealView
DebuggerThe Code window is the main control window of RealView Debugger. It is your RealView Debugger Desktop. RealView Debugger uses a pane in the Code window to display source and disassembled code, referred to as the File Editor pane in this online help. You can run your debug session from the Code window. You can invoke debugger commands using the Debug menu, or the command buttons, or by typing them into the command line at the bottom of the window. The Src tab displays source code. The Dsm tab displays disassembled code interleaved with source code by default, or you can display disassembled code only if you change your workspace settings. The debugger commands, messages, and results are displayed in the Output pane at the bottom of the window.
Each line of source-level code might require more than one assembly instruction. It is unlikely therefore that the source-level and assembly-level areas correspond exactly. When you switch between modes, the highlighted line in the code area corresponds to the same execution point in each mode.
Breakpoints are represented in the File Editor pane by colored icons:
An unconditional breakpoint.
A conditional breakpoint.
A disabled breakpoint.
If you are debugging an RTOS application, there are additional breakpoints:
A system breakpoint (
when disabled,
conditional)
A thread breakpoint (
when disabled,
conditional)
