Disconnect (Defining mode)

If you do not want to change disconnect mode in the board file, you can use the Disconnect (Defining mode)… option to define the way the processor is left when you disconnect. This option is available from the Connection Control window context menu for a connected target, or from the Code window Target menu.

image\lamp.gifThe disconnect mode that you select overrides any other defaults, but it is ignored if the target does not support it.

You can select one of the following states:

As-is with Debug

This leaves the processor in the current state, whether stopped or running, and with the debug state unchanged.

As-is without Debug

This leaves the processor in the current state, with all debug state removed.

Select the state that you want to use and click OK. The current connection is terminated and any windows that are attached to it are unattached.

If you select an option that is not supported by your target processor, a warning is displayed to tell you that the selected disconnect mode was not honored and to state the mode that was actually used.

The default disconnect mode is As-is with Debug.
