New Journal File...

Select this option if you want to create a journal file. The Select File to Journal to dialog is displayed for you to specify the name and location of the file. If you choose an existing file, you are given the choice of whether to append to it, or overwrite it. All commands, debugger output and messages are recorded in the journal file.

JOUR appears in the task bar at the foot of the Code window to indicate that a journal file is open.

By default, all output is unbuffered, that is, all lines are flushed to the specified file. To change to buffered output, set the environment variable JOULOG_UNBUF to the pathname for the journal file.
