You can set this breakpoint so that it is triggered when the specified data value, or range of values, is accessed, or more specifically, read or written.

There are four data entry boxes, as follows:

1.   Click image\dropdown.gif and select one of the following options:

Enter Data Value Access to Match

Enter Data Value Read to Match

Enter Data Value Write to Match

2.   Specify the data value that triggers the breakpoint. You can enter a value, a variable name, or an address. If you enter a variable name, the value of that variable is used as the data value, if you enter an address, it is used as the data value. Click image\dropdown.gif to display links to browsers, your favorites, and a list of values that you have entered previously.

3.   Click image\dropdown.gif and select one of the following options:

Enter None (no range)

Enter End Value

Enter Value Length

Enter Value Mask

If your hardware supports it, you can enter an end value, or value length to set the breakpoint on a range of values.

You can enter a value mask if you are interested only in certain bits of the value.

image\lamp.gifThe read-only information line at the bottom of the dialog tells you the options that are available on your hardware.

4.   Depending on the option that you choose, enter a value, a mask or leave this field blank.

Click OK to accept your input.
