Using Secondary Code windows

You can open new Code windows using the New Code Window option from a Code window View menu. There are three reasons why you might want to do this:

• If you are connecting to more than one target, you might want to associate a Code window with each target. See How do I attach a code window? for more information.

• If you are running an RTOS application, you might want to associate a Code window with a particular thread. See Attach a window to a thread.

• If you want to display more docked panes of the Code window than is practical with one instance.

If you have Code windows that are attached to different targets, you can also open additional Code windows from those. You can see how they relate to one another by the colored identifier at the top of the window.
