RTOS support

RealView Debugger supports two types of OS Aware debug, depending on the RTOS you are using:

Halted System Debug (HSD), which uses the debugger to examine the state of a halted target system.

Running System Debug (RSD), which allows interaction between the debugger and a running target system. RealView Debugger communicates with the running target system using a Debug Agent resident on the target. You can stop the threads that are of interest and leave other threads running.

$image\inform.gif$ The RTOS-specific support files are not installed with the product. You must download and install the necessary OS support dll. For more information, select Goto RTOS Awareness Downloads from the Code window Help menu.

Before you can use the RTOS facilities, you must make some amendments to your connection properties. See Before you begin.
