Stepping

You can use the Step buttons, or the Step commands in the Debug menu to step through threads in a multi-threaded image.

In HSD mode

You must set a breakpoint to stop the image so that you can step through the code. A step instruction from any Code window, regardless of its attachment, steps the thread that is current when the processor stops.

image\lamp.gifYou can change current thread manually to see the registers and variables for a different thread, but if you begin to step again, RealView Debugger automatically sets current thread to be the thread that was running when the processor stopped.

In RSD mode

In RSD mode, you can step any captive thread without having to stop the target.
