Locals

Set to add to instruct the linker to add local symbols to the output symbol table when producing an executable image. This is the default. See –-locals in the documentation for your toolchain.

Set to remove to instruct the linker not to add local symbols to the output symbol table when producing an executable image. This is a useful optimization if you want to reduce the size of the output symbol table. See –-nolocals in the documentation for your toolchain.
