Sorting the profiling information in the Analysis window

You can sort the information in the Profile tab. Data can be sorted by any column, and in either ascending or descending order. You can sort in the following ways:

• Click on the column header for the column you want to sort by. This sorts the trace information by the specified column in ascending order. Click again on the column header to reverse the order.

• Select one of the options from the Analysis window Sort menu to sorts the information in the specified column in ascending order. To reverse the order, select Reverse Sort from the menu:

By Time/Entry to sort by Exec% . This is the default sort option.

By Address to sort by Address

By Name to sort by Symbolic

By Access Type to sort by Type

By Count sorts by Count

By First Instance sorts by 1st

By Total B => E Time sorts by B => E

By Average B => E Time sorts by Avg B => E

By Minimum B => E Time

By Maximum B => E Time

Sorting large traces can be slow, and consumes a large amount of memory.
