Connection Control Synch tab

Select Connectionimage\optarrow.gifSynchronization Control from the Code window File menu, or click the Synch tab on an open Connection Control window.

If you are licensed for Multiple processor access, and you are connected to more than one processor, the Synch tab of the Connection Control looks like this:

A list of the current connections is displayed. The check box indicates whether the processor is synchronized in any way:

image\tick.gif This processor can be affected by other processors, depending on the Execution and cross-triggering controls.

When you select the processors, the Description alongside the Execution controls is updated to show whether synchronization is Loosely coupled or Tightly coupled.

Execution

This group of check boxes defines which operations are synchronized, that is, a single command acts on all processors in the group. They are all checked by default.

Step     Single stepping one processor also steps the other processors in the group. However, synchronized stepping can be very inaccurate

image\lamp.gif It is recommended that you attach each of the synchronized processors to a Code window so that you can monitor the debugger messages easily.
