File Editor pane

This area contains the program code. Depending on which tab has been selected, the code appears as Assembler (Dsm tab), or Source code (Src tab).

If Tooltip Evaluation is enabled, you can evaluate variables and registers by hovering your mouse pointer above them in the code. If it is possible to evaluate them, a tooltip is displayed with the name of the object and its value. This option is selected by default, and you can turn it on or off from the Advanced option of the Code Window Edit menu.

Breakpoints are represented in the Code window by colored Stop Sign Icons:

image\breakpt.gif An unconditional breakpoint.

image\conbreak.gif A conditional breakpoint.

If you are debugging an RTOS application, the breakpoints are different:

image\sysbrk.gif A system breakpoint (image\sysbrkd.gif when disabled, image\sysbrkc.gif conditional)

image\thrdbrk.gif A thread breakpoint (image\thrdbrkd.gif when disabled, image\thrdbrkc.gif conditional)
