How do I step through an application?

You can step through your application in the File Editor pane of the RealView Debugger Code window, one source line, or one instruction, or one function, or one call at a time:

• To step one source line at a time, click the button, or select DebugStep Into from the Src tab of the File Editor pane.

• To step one instruction at a time, click the button, or select DebugStep Into from the Dsm tab of the File Editor pane.

• To step and execute functions as if they were one source line, click the button, or select DebugStep Over from the Src tab of the File Editor pane.

• To step and execute calls as if they were one line of code, click the button, or select DebugStep Over from the Dsm tab of the File Editor pane.

• To step one source line, or one instruction (if in the Src or Dsm tab of the File Editor pane) at a time until a specified condition expression is evaluated as true, select DebugStep Until Condition.... A Prompt dialog is displayed for you to specify your condition expression.
