If you select this option, the debugger steps execution by lines of source code (from the Src tab) or assembler instructions (from the Dsm tab) over functions.

Steps and executes functions as if they are a single line or instruction. The debugger executes the current line, or instruction at the program counter. If the line or instruction makes a function call, the function is executed completely before execution stops.
