RealView
DebuggerUse the Map tab of the Process Control pane to track and control memory mapping on the target. The memory section of a linker command file can be generated from the memory map data for certain processors (see the RealView Debugger v1.8 User Guide). The memory map is automatically set up based on:
built in information about the processor
information from a board (.bcd) file
the register values that affect memory maps (if any)
Unless you specify a board/chip definition
file to RealView Debugger, memory mapping is disabled by default, and
the message ***Memory Map Disabled***
is displayed in the Map tab. All memory is treated as RAM. Right-click to display the context menu
option to Toggle Memory Mapping.
See the RealView
Debugger v1.8 User Guide for information about the reasons for
using memory mapping.
If Memory mapping is enabled, the map tab displays information about each part of the memory map showing the start address, size and access rule. A one-line text description can also be included.
The way that memory is shown depends on your debug target.
