Connecting to the simulator

Connecting to the MOT 566 simulator is the same as connecting to any other target:

1. Select the Connect to Target... from the Code window Target menu.

2. Click $image\plus.gif$ by localhost to display the simulator entries:

$image\dsp1.gif$

3. Click the box ( $image\box.gif$ ) by the relevant new_xxx option to start a simulator connection.

The localhost list expands to show the new simulator connection and a prompt to load an image appears in the Code window.

4. Click the prompt to open the Load File to Target dialog so that you can locate and load an executable file suitable for your DSP.
