Build tools

To speed up rebuilding, you can specify the base settings for development tools to use in projects or on files during debugging. When you have specified these settings, they are used for every project. You can override these settings in your project so that different tools are used for a project, or for a particular set of files forming part of a project.

Depending on your installation, RealView Debugger is able to locate specified toolchains for projects using the environment variables, for example, ADS 1.2. You are prompted to confirm the build toolchain.

If you are not using a project but you want to rebuild a particular file, or set of files, RealView Debugger gives you the option to use the default toolchain, or to specify your own makefile or build script.

You can view the current toolchain properties and edit the settings in the Build-Tool properties window.
