RealView
DebuggerTo connect to target hardware, you must use a suitable JTAG interface unit such as RealView ICE or Multi-ICE.
RealView ICE
To use RealView ICE, use the ARM-ARM-NW connection in the Connection Control window. You must configure RealView ICE, and define the JTAG configuration file, before you can connect.
See your RealView
ICE User Guide for details.
Multi-ICE
You cannot use the normal ARM Multi-ICE configuration to connect to DSP processors, because the Multi-ICE software does not support non-ARM architecture processors. Instead, you can use Multi-ICE direct connect, which uses the Multi-ICE hardware and software within RealView Debugger. In this configuration, you require the Multi-ICE parallel port driver and the Multi-ICE interface hardware, but the Multi-ICE Server must not be running.
To use Multi-ICE direct connect, use the ARM-ARM-PP connection. You must configure the configuration file using the JTAG configuration editor before you connect.
Refer to the RealView
Debugger v1.8 Target Configuration Guide for more information about
making connections and using the JTAG configuration editor.
