Changing the Active Project

In a single processor environment, if you have more than one project open in RealView Debugger, you can only use the Code window Project and Tools menu options for one of these projects. This is known as the active project.

The name of the active project appears in the Code window title bar.

By default, the active project is the project bound to the current connection. You can make a different project active using the Project Control dialog:

1. Close all files that are open in the File Editor pane

2. Select Project Control… from the Code window Project menu

3. Deselect (image\box.gif) any projects that are selected in the displayed list

4. Select (image\tick.gif) the project that you want to make active

5. Click Active to make the selected project the active project

image\exclaim.gifIf an active user-defined project is unbound, although the project name is in the title bar of the Code window, and you can use the Project and Tools menu, you cannot see its details in the Process Control pane or the File Editor pane.

If you want to edit a source file for an unbound active project, you must open it using the Open option of the Code window File menu.

In a multiprocessor environment, if you are using windows attachment, you could have an active project for each of the attached windows and an active project for any unattached windows.
