Setting a simple hardware breakpoint

To set a simple hardware breakpoint on source in RAM:

1. Select Breakpoints Set/Edit Breakpoint... from the Code window Debug menu.

2. Select HW Instr as the Break Type in the Set Address/Data Breakpoint dialog.

3. Enter the location of the breakpoint in Location, or click to display a menu of options to help you to find the location.

4. Click OK to set the breakpoint.

To set a simple hardware breakpoint on the stack:

1. If the Stack pane is not displayed, select Stack from the Code window View menu.

2. Select one of the HW options as the Break Type in the Set Address/Data Breakpoint dialog.

3. Enter the location of the breakpoint in Location, or click to display a menu of options to help you to find the location.

4. Click OK to set the breakpoint.
